John Sheers

John Sheers is a seasoned information technology professional with extensive experience in leading technology initiatives and project management. Currently serving as the Lead Information Technology Specialist at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) since January 2022, John provides technical direction on Agile best practices to enhance the modernization of complex IT systems. Prior to this, John held the position of Information Technology Program Manager at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for nearly 15 years, where responsibilities included overseeing program development and aligning projects with strategic goals. John’s earlier career at ATPCO involved multiple roles, including Product Development and Marketing Manager, where oversight of a program management office and management of international tariff operations were key responsibilities. John holds a degree from The George Washington University.
