Justin Martin, CPA, MSA-Tax, has extensive experience in tax examination and litigation support, currently serving as a Manager at the FDIC since October 2009. In this role, Justin has successfully managed over 100 IRS audits and more than 20 state and local audits, facilitating the realization of over $3 billion in claimed refunds with a success rate exceeding 95%. Additionally, Justin has played a key role as a Rule 30(b)(6) witness in a significant $200 million lawsuit regarding tax refunds. Prior to the FDIC, Justin held senior positions at Ernst & Young, enhancing client tax and finance operations, resulting in annual savings of approximately $25 million to $30 million. Justin's foundational experience includes a managerial role at PricewaterhouseCoopers where consulting and project management for U.S. tax implementation were primary responsibilities. Justin holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with minors in Economics and Finance, from the University of North Texas.
