Ken Worthey Jr

Assistant Director, Consumer Education at FDIC

Ken Worthey Jr. currently serves as the Assistant Director of Consumer Education at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), having joined the organization in November 2021. Prior to this role, Ken held various positions at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) from February 2013 to November 2021, including Program Officer for Financial Literacy & Outreach and Financial Literacy and Outreach Analyst. Ken's expertise includes serving as a technical advisor for financial literacy education and financial inclusion programming, as well as developing and implementing relevant policies and programs. Additional experience includes a Board Member role at the Quantico/Belvoir Regional Business Alliance and positions in marketing and communications at COMPASS 4 CUs LLC and Belvoir Federal Credit Union. Ken holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Public Relations, both from George Mason University.
