Steve Cornell

Steve Cornell currently serves as the Lead Senior Financial Analyst at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), a position held since April 2023, where responsibilities include identifying opportunities to promote equality in lending, enforcing the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) and Fair Housing Act (FHA), and mentoring staff on fair lending matters. Prior to this role, Steve was a Senior Financial Economist at the FDIC from 2010 to April 2023, and held economist positions at the U.S. Department of Justice, USDA, and the US Census Bureau. Steve holds a Master's degree in Agriculture and Applied Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Economics, both from the University of Kentucky.
