José Colón Rodríguez

José Colón Rodríguez is an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical and aerospace engineering, holding a Bachelor's Degree from Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico. Since December 2017, José has worked at FEMA in various roles, including Incident Management Mitigation 406 Specialist, Program Delivery Manager, and Public Assistance - Project Specialist for the Water Sector. Notable contributions include managing a flood control project that improved pump station efficiency for over 10,000 families and leading individual assistance efforts for housing support. Prior to FEMA, José served as a Design Engineer at Infotech Aerospace Services, Inc., focusing on the design and optimization of jet engine components. Additional experience includes tutoring Mechanical Engineering students in Computer-Aided Design at Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.
