Steve Hamlin

Steve Hamlin is an experienced fire service professional currently serving as the Executive Officer at the Broward Sheriff's Office since November 2009, where assistance is provided to the District Chief of Fire Rescue. Previous roles within Broward Sheriff's Office include Lieutenant, Training Officer, Operations Officer, New Recruit Instructor, and Firefighter/Paramedic in the Special Operations Command. Steve also holds the Vice President position with the International Association of Fire Fighters since December 2020 and serves as a Rescue Specialist, Logistics Specialist, and Water Rescue Specialist for FEMA. Additional instructional roles include teaching at the Coral Springs Regional Institute of Public Safety and formerly at the Broward Fire Academy. Prior work experience encompasses positions at the City of Coral Springs, The Home Depot, Sherwin-Williams, and military service in both the Florida and Georgia Army National Guards. Steve Hamlin earned a Master of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and completed undergraduate studies at The University of Georgia.
