Andrew Kohout, P.E. serves as the Director of the Division of LNG Facility Reviews & Inspections at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission since February 2006, overseeing a team of engineers focused on safety and reliability for liquefied natural gas facilities valued over $250 billion. Previously, Andrew held positions as Chief of LNG Branch 1 and Consequence Modeling Specialist, leading advanced consequence modeling and engineering reviews. In academia, Andrew co-lectures the Industrial Fire Protection course and has guest lectured on various related subjects at the University of Maryland. Andrew's background includes a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in both Fire Protection Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, complemented by a Business Analytics certificate from Harvard Business School.
