Program Manager, Wildlife Biologist at Federal Energy Regulatory Commission

Laura Washington is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental management and wildlife biology. Currently serving as a Program Manager and Wildlife Biologist at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission since January 2015, Laura also holds the position of Executive Director at IPI Culture Nature Community since January 2011. Previous roles include Fish and Wildlife Biologist at the District of Columbia Department of the Environment, Green Roof Program Coordinator at the Anacostia Watershed Society, and Environmental Education Consultant with the Student Conservation Association. Laura's early career includes positions as an Environmental Engineer at Noblis and Climate Change & Health Policy Consultant at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, along with internships and research roles related to agriculture and environmental science. Laura holds a Masters of Environmental Management from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Tuskegee University.
