Steven Overbeek

Steven Overbeek has a strong and diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Steven is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Managing IT Director at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago since April 2018. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Information Technology at Fidelity National Information Services from June 2012 to April 2018. Steven was responsible for managing various teams and a budget of $10 million. Before that, they served as the Vice President/Manager Strategic Planning - Project Management Office at PNC Financial Services from November 2009 to June 2012. Steven established a decentralized project management office and led a team of project managers responsible for implementing complex enterprise projects. Steven also held the position of Manager of Application Development at HSBC from June 2004 to November 2009, where they successfully reduced technology costs and managed multiple projects. Prior to that, they worked at RR Donnelley in various roles such as Project Manager, Business Systems Analyst, and Senior Technical Analyst, where they worked on several enterprise projects and systems integration. Steven started their career at Berlin Industries as a Customer Care Representative/Production Coordinator, where they managed production schedules and serviced high-profile clients.

Steven Overbeek received a Bachelor of Science degree in Printing Technology from Illinois State University, where they studied from 1992 to 1994. Steven then pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Systems with a concentration in Project Management from DePaul University, completing their studies from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Over the years, Steven has also obtained additional certifications, including Agile Certified Professional (ACP) from the Project Management Institute in 2017, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in 2016, and ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) from ICAgile in 2014.
