Maia Songer

Maia Songer is an Employee Communications Specialist at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, responsible for promoting information to over 400 employees, managing an editorial calendar, and crafting content to enhance employee experiences. Prior experience includes serving as a Student Ambassador at Drake University, where Maia promoted the university to prospective students, and interning at MUNRO LAW OFFICE, P.C., where legal documentation and trial preparation assistance was provided. Leadership roles in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority included Vice President of Member Development and Open Recruitment Specialist, focusing on member wellness and recruitment initiatives. Maia also gained experience as a Staff Writer for The Times-Delphic and as a Legislative House Clerk for the Iowa State House of Representatives, enhancing communication strategies and digital engagement. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Law degree at the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law, Maia holds a Bachelor's degree in Strategic Political Communications and Public Relations from Drake University.
