Jorge Nieves

Jorge Nieves currently serves as the AVP of Internal Audit at the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY), focusing on data analysis and the automation of internal audit processes since January 2024. With a history at FHLBNY dating back to June 2014, Jorge has held roles as Technical Officer in both Internal Audit and Risk Management, where responsibilities included R&D and the quantitative auditing of pricing models and credit risk models. Previous experience includes consulting as a Quantitative Analyst and roles in financial engineering at Moore Capital Management and SunGard. Jorge holds an Engineer's degree and a Master's degree in Engineering Economic Systems and Operations Research from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo.
