Dan Hess joined FHLBank Topeka in 1995 as a correspondent banking account manager for Kansas. He was promoted to lending officer in 1997 and to assistant vice president and lending manager in 1999. He was named vice president in 2000, first vice president in 2002 and senior vice president in 2009. Hess currently leads FHLBank’s Lending, Sales, MPF Program, Product Administration, Marketing and Communications, and Wire Services departments. Before joining FHLBank, Hess was a senior auditor with Capitol Federal Savings in Topeka, Kan., and assistant industry condition reporting coordinator for the Office of Thrift Supervision, also in Topeka. Hess has a bachelor of business administration from Washburn University in Topeka. He is also a graduate of the Nebraska and Kansas Bankers Associations’ Advanced Schools of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colo.
