Karthik Raju

Karthik Raju is an experienced attorney currently serving as an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of California since November 2022. Prior to this role, Karthik held the position of Deputy Public Defender III at Marin County Public Defender from January 2018 to October 2022 and worked as an Attorney at New York County Defender Services from September 2015 to April 2018, where Karthik handled serious felony cases. Karthik also served as Managing Attorney at Spar & Bernstein, P.C. from July 2012 to December 2014, successfully increasing firm revenues while managing the criminal defense practice. Earlier in the career, Karthik was a Trial Attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County and worked as a Fixed Income Product Manager at AB. Karthik earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree with honors in Politics from New York University.
