Carl Madsen is a vice president in the Financial Support Office (FSO) headquartered at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston where he is responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and cost accounting initiatives for the Federal Reserve System. Carl joined the Boston Fed in 1987 and began his career in the Financial Planning and Analysis department. Before moving to the FSO, he also worked in the Retail Payments and FSPC Support Offices. He was promoted to assistant vice president in 2000.
Carl has a B.A. and M.A. in economics from Boston University, attended the New England School of Banking, and participated in the MIT Executive Program, the Central Banking Seminar, and the Thrive, Trailblazers, and Senior Leadership SLI Conferences.
