John T. Foley

John Foley is a vice president in the Law Enforcement Unit. During his time with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, he has made significant contributions through his leadership by restructuring the Law Enforcement Unit, overseeing installation of a new video surveillance system, and directing the design and completion of a new control center. Since 2017, he has served as the vice chair of the Federal Reserve System’s Security Task Force.

John brings a 28-year record of investigative and managerial achievement in all areas of Criminal Investigative Programs, national and international investigations, and undercover and tactical operations. He was the assistant special agent in charge of criminal programs for the Boston office of the FBI inclusive of: SWAT; Crisis Negotiation; Undercover Programs; Gang Task Forces; Organized Crime Task Force; and Violent Crimes Task Forces.

He has a B.A. in psychology from Bates College and a J.D. from the New England School of Law.
