Steven H. Wright

Steven Wright is senior vice president and general counsel at Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, one of 12 regional Federal Reserve banks. A distinguished Boston-area attorney, Steve has served as lead counsel and strategic advisor for several Fortune 500 companies, addressing complex commercial, corporate, intellectual property, litigation and regulatory matters. He is named in “Best Lawyers in America” for commercial litigation, a member of Best Lawyers National Advisory Committee and a “Super Lawyer” for business and corporate law. In his capacity at the Boston Fed, Steve serves as the as the Bank’s senior legal officer and advisor, providing strategic counsel to the Bank’s leadership. He is a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee, and leads the Legal Services, Real Estate, Diversity and Inclusion, and Law Enforcement Division.

Steve’s nonprofit board affiliations include Atrius Health, the Boston Chamber of Commerce, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. He is a member of the Bank’s Diversity Advisory Council, and was named one of the 50 Most Influential Bostonians by the Boston Business Journal.

He holds a law degree from Boston College Law School and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from East Carolina University. He is admitted to the bar in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey.
