Scott Brener

Scott Brener is an experienced legal and regulatory consultant with a diverse background in various leadership roles. Currently serving as a Regulatory Consultant for the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Insurance Association since May 2024, Scott has also been the Chief Legal Officer at Ametros and the Senior Vice President/General Counsel for both FIGUR8, Inc. and Cadence Rx. Prior experience includes significant roles as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at SFM - The Work Comp Experts, and Commissioner at the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Scott founded The Brener Group in 2019, which specializes in consulting for legislative and regulatory matters. Scott holds a BA in International/Global Studies from Georgetown University and a JD from Emory University School of Law.
