Joanne Li

Joanne Li, Ph.D., CFA, currently serves as the Barbara & Wally Weitz Endowed Chair of Higher Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where Joanne began in July 2021, making history as the first and only endowed chancellorship in the University of Nebraska System. In January 2023, Joanne Li was appointed as Chancellor of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Omaha Branch and also holds positions on various boards, including the Higher Learning Commission and the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities. Education credentials include a Ph.D. in Finance from Florida State University and multiple executive education programs at prestigious institutions such as Harvard and Wharton. Joanne Li is recognized for contributions to the Omaha Symphony and Opera Omaha and is an active member of various advisory boards, including the CNBC Global Financial Wellness Advisory Council.
