Senior Advisor, Community Capital And Capacity at Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia

Alison Shott, PhD, currently serves as a Community Engagement Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, a position held since June 2019, following a role as Community Engagement Associate. Prior to this, Alison was the Director at Econsult Solutions and worked as a Research Associate at the Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance at the University of Toronto on a contract basis. With a strong academic background, Alison completed a PhD in Political Science at Western University, where also served as a teaching assistant, and earned an MA in Political Science from Acadia University. Additional academic achievements include a Fulbright Fellowship and a BA magna cum laude from American University, as well as continuing studies in Spanish at Temple University. Alison has also held various leadership roles, including Vice President of External Affairs and Communications at the Society of Graduate Students.
