Igor Livshits is an accomplished economist currently serving as an Economic Advisor and Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia since July 2017. Prior to this role, Igor held various esteemed positions at the University of Western Ontario, including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, from July 2001 to June 2017. Additional academic roles include serving as Academic Director at BEROC from 2008 to 2015, Visiting Research Fellow at Collegio Carlo Alberto in 2013, and Visiting Professor at the International School of Economics at TSU in 2012. Igor’s expertise has also been recognized at the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research from 2005 to 2009 and as an Associate Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis from 1999 to 2001. Igor Livshits earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota (1997-2001), an MS in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1995-1997), and an MS in Applied Mathematics from the Belarus State Polytechnic Academy (1990-1995).
