James Bailey is an accomplished economist currently serving as an Associate Professor of Economics at Providence College since August 2017. In addition to this role, James holds the position of Senior Research Affiliate at West Virginia University as of June 2023 and has been a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia since December 2016. James is also a Senior Affiliated Scholar at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and previously worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Creighton University from June 2014 to June 2017. Earlier in the academic career, James was a Visiting Instructor at the University of West Florida and a Graduate Instructor at Temple University, overseeing courses in macroeconomics and microeconomics. James earned a PhD and an M.A. in Economics from Temple University and holds a B.S. in Economics from The University of Tulsa.
