Samantha Porter is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community development, disaster recovery, and public administration. Currently serving as a Community Engagement Advisor and Outreach Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia since July 2020, Samantha provides analysis and support to regional stakeholders aimed at promoting equitable access to credit in underserved markets. Additionally, as an Adjunct Instructor at Temple University, Samantha teaches courses on the Disaster Recovery Lifecycle. Previous roles include Deputy Director of Policy & Strategic Initiatives for the City of Philadelphia and Director of Place-Based Initiatives, focusing on collaborative efforts in the West Philadelphia Promise Zone. Samantha's background also includes consulting for disaster recovery at ICF and managing programs for low to moderate-income homeowners in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Samantha holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and German from Temple University.
