Andy Bauer

Andy Bauer serves as the Vice President and Regional Executive at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond since March 2019, overseeing external engagements in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia while supporting the Bank's monetary policy. Prior roles at the Richmond Fed include Senior Regional Economist from November 2006 to February 2019, where Bauer led economic outreach and provided updates on economic conditions. Bauer also contributed as an Affiliate Assistant Professor at Loyola College in Maryland from September 2008 to December 2013, teaching economics courses. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Economic Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta from October 2000 to October 2006, focusing on the US economy and macroeconomic forecasting. Andy Bauer holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Emory University and a B.A. in International Studies and Economics from American University.
