Marcos M Lima has extensive experience in the field of database administration, spanning over two decades. Marcos M began their career as an Oracle DBA Consultant at Souza Cruz in 1996 and then moved on to Fininvest Brazil S/A in 1997, where they served as an Oracle DBA. Lima continued to enhance their skills as an Oracle DBA at Banco Boavista in 1999, implementing and deploying Oracle servers and providing support.

In 1999, they joined Global Resources / Cotelligent and worked as an Oracle Consultant for various clients such as ASI, BMC Software, MCI Worldcom, and Agilent Technologies. During their tenure at BMC, Lima was responsible for creating and executing a QA test plan for Patrol DB-Unload.

Lima then joined Williams-Sonoma, Inc in 2000 as a Senior Database Administrator, where they played a crucial role in designing, deploying, and administering their high-profile DSS application, the Modeling Marketing System (MMS). Marcos M also contributed to data modeling, fine-tuning table partitions, and enhancing performance.

From 2004 to 2009, Lima worked at IBM Global Services as a Senior IT Specialist - Oracle DBA, providing leadership and expertise in managing complex database systems for clients such as GAP, Johnson & Johnson, Williams-Sonoma, British Petroleum, AstraZeneca, and Cendant. Marcos M planned and executed projects for database migrations and maintenance, documented standards and processes, and leveraged idle resources for optimal efficiency.

Lima then joined Monsoon Commerce in 2010 as a Senior Database Administrator, tasked with resolving replication issues across Oracle environments. Marcos M conducted a comprehensive infrastructure assessment, drafted a strategic plan, and optimized replication performance.

In 2013, Lima joined Bayside Solutions as a Senior Oracle DBA, where they further honed their skills and expertise. Finally, they joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in 2014 as a Senior Database Analyst, and later assumed the role of Lead Database Administrator.

Marcos M Lima received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in the years 1992 to 1995. Marcos M then pursued a Certificate in Business Administration - MBA foundation from the University of California, Berkeley from 2001 to 2002. Later, they completed their Master of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco from 2005 to 2007.
