Andrew Meldrum

Assistant Director at Federal Reserve

Andrew Meldrum is the current Assistant Director at the Federal Reserve. Andrew has worked in the financial industry for over 15 years, starting as a Senior Economist at the Bank of England in 2002. In 2008, they left the Bank of England to pursue a PhD at the University of Cambridge, and returned to the Bank of England in 2011 as an Advisor on financial markets. Andrew left the Bank of England in 2016 to join the Federal Reserve.

Andrew Meldrum studied economics at Durham University, where they earned their BA. Andrew then went on to study economics and international banking and finance at Birkbeck, University of London and Durham University, respectively, earning their Master of Science degrees in both fields. Finally, they earned their PhD in economics from the University of Cambridge.

Andrew Meldrum reports to Trevor A. Reeve, Director, Monetary Affairs. They are on a team with James A. Clouse - Senior Associate Director, Rochelle M. Edge - Deputy Director.
