Jeremy Sherwood

Jeremy Sherwood is a highly experienced tax expert currently serving as a Senior Tax Expert at the Federal Tax Authority since January 2023, providing policy and operational advice while implementing Corporate Income Tax in the UAE. Prior to this role, Jeremy held positions such as Senior Director, Tax Policy at the Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority, where advice on tax incentives for special economic zones was given, and as Team Leader for Business Profits Tax Policy at HM Revenue & Customs, overseeing policy for calculating taxable business income. Jeremy's extensive background includes significant roles at HM Treasury, leading the Office of Tax Simplification and the Charity Tax Branch, as well as prior experience as an HM Inspector of Taxes. Educational qualifications include a degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and a Master's in Public Economics and Fiscal Governance from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
