Evan Cartagena

Evan Cartagena is an accomplished attorney currently serving in the Bureau of Competition, Health Care Division at the Federal Trade Commission since September 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Legal Extern in various capacities, including work with the Wrongful Convictions Clinic and the Education & Law Project, as well as an internship at the Federal Trade Commission. Education includes a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law, where a Certificate in Public Interest & Public Service Law was also earned, complemented by dual bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Business Administration (Economics) from the University of Florida. Additional experience spans teaching and mentoring roles in diverse settings, emphasizing argumentation, legal analysis, and cross-cultural communication.
