Rogerio Filgueiras

Rogerio Filgueiras is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in nuclear engineering and intellectual property. Currently serving as a researcher at COPPE/UFRJ since January 2016, Rogerio focuses on the research and development of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM) for the oil and gas industry. Previously, Rogerio held the position of Professor at UFRJ - Campus Duque de Caxias, teaching various subjects related to industrial property, ethics, and entrepreneurship. Rogerio's earlier roles include Deputy Coordinator at the UFRJ Innovation Agency, where significant contributions were made to the establishment and activities of technology transfer and innovation promotion, and Director Substitute at the Division of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer at UFRJ. Rogerio began a career in the field as a Patent Examiner at the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) in Brazil. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Nuclear Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, along with a Master's degree and several other advanced qualifications in related fields.
