George Halkiotis

George Halkiotis has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. George began their career as a Senior Supervisor at the Ministry of Tourism & Recreation in 1978, where they worked until 1984. In 2000, they joined the Federated Insurance Company of Canada as the Director of Claims, a position they held until 2003. George then moved to Northbridge Financial Corporation and served as the Vice President of Claims from 2003 to 2013. During this time, they also took on the role of Executive Vice President of Claims, leading the National Claims team until 2020. In 2020, they were appointed as the President of Federated Insurance Company of Canada, where they focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining strong relationships with clients and brokers.

George Halkiotis holds an Honors BA degree in Urban/Rural Studies from the University of Toronto, which they obtained from 1980 to 1984. George also completed the MBA Essentials Certificate Program from the University of Toronto and holds the ACIP & FCIP, Claims Major degree from the Insurance Institute of Canada. In 2003, they received the Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) Designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada.
