Candace Young is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) & Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Implementation Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy, where responsibilities include leading the coordination and implementation of over $80 billion in funding and developing strategies and performance metrics. Candace also holds the position of Senior Advisor in the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations, providing guidance on program direction and project development. As an Energy Impact Fellow at the Federation of American Scientists, Candace focuses on innovative science and technology policy initiatives. Previous roles include Strategy Activation Manager and Innovation Manager at National Grid, as well as product management positions at General Electric and Caterpillar Inc. Candace holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, an Executive Education certificate from Stanford University, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Florida State University, and a certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale University.
