Jessica Blackband, MPP, currently serves as the Senior Manager for Environmental and Climate Policy at the Federation of American Scientists, a position held since October 2022. Prior to this role, Jessica was a Climate Change Associate at Tetra Tech and an Analyst at the US Government Accountability Office. Additional experience includes positions as Executive Editor at GW Policy Perspectives and various roles at the US Government Accountability Office. Jessica's earlier work includes serving as a Regulatory Studies Fellow at the Office of Management and Budget and as a Communications Specialist at the South Central Climate Adaptation Science Center. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Public Policy with a focus on Regulatory Policy from The George Washington University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Studies and Philosophy with a minor in Biological Sciences from Florida State University.
