Aaron Young

Aaron Young, PhD, has extensive work experience in research and data integration roles. Aaron started their career in 1998 as a Projects Manager at the Baylor Center for Community Research and Development, where they conducted community research for various organizations and helped establish research objectives. From 1999 to 2002, Aaron worked as a Consultant at The Perryman Group, providing economic development analyses and litigation support to clients. In 2002, they joined Reliant Energy as a Marketing Research Analyst and later became a Manager, leading marketing research efforts and implementing strategies for customer retention. Since 2008, Aaron has been associated with the Federation of State Medical Boards, initially as a Senior Director of Research and later as an Assistant Vice President and Vice President. In these roles, they have provided leadership, research, and analytics to support state medical and osteopathic boards in improving the quality and safety of healthcare. Aaron has summarized their findings in written and oral reports for the board of directors and C-level executives.

Aaron Young, PhD completed their education with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Midwestern State University from 1993 to 1998. Aaron then pursued a Master's Degree in Sociology from Baylor University, which they completed from 1998 to 1999. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Sociology from Baylor University, graduating in 2002.
