Lisa Nelson

Lisa Nelson started their professional career as a Paralegal at Vedder Price, P.C., where they worked in the Equipment Finance department from January 2004 to December 2005. Lisa then moved on to Feeding America, where they held various roles over the years. Lisa started as an Individual Philanthropy Assistant in July 2006 and eventually became a Donor Services Associate in November 2007. Lisa then transitioned to a Manager of Gift Administration role in August 2008, where they were responsible for database administration, gift administration, and donor services. Lisa provided data analysis to support strategic decision making and worked closely with the Finance Department to reconcile fundraising revenue and report on fundraising progress. In August 2011, Lisa became the Direct Marketing Operations Manager, overseeing multi-channel direct response reporting, analysis, quality control, and data management needs. Lisa also facilitated cross-department data interactions and managed the invoicing and reconciliation process with the Finance Department. Lisa then moved up to the position of Senior Manager, Direct Marketing Operations in October 2015 and subsequently became the Director of Direct Marketing & Digital Engagement Operations in August 2017. In March 2018, they transitioned to the role of Director of Marketing Technology & Measurement, and finally, in November 2018, Lisa was promoted to Vice President of Philanthropy Operations.

Lisa Nelson obtained their bachelor's degree in American Government from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. From 2011 to 2013, they pursued a master's degree in Nonprofit Management at DePaul University.
