Matt Hayes

Matt Hayes has over 25 years of experience in human resources. Matt is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer at Feeding America, where they have been instrumental in developing a global human resources strategy that has driven step changes in business performance. Matt has also been responsible for establishing the talent management capability required to sustain growth in specialty ingredients. Prior to joining Feeding America, Matt worked for Ingredion Incorporated for 18 years, where they served as Vice President Global Specialties and Talent Management. In this role, they led a team of 11 direct and functional reports, including 3 directors. Before Ingredion, Matt worked for Kaiser Aluminum, where they gained production management and labor relations experience, including managing a production operation with 130 employees and a $7.5 million annual operating budget. Matt began their career in human resources with Amoco Corporation in 1990, where they held various roles over a five-year period.

Matt Hayes has a Masters from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Applied Personnel Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Psychology with a Minor in Economics, certification from Midlands Technical College in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Champions Training, certification from Hogan Assessment Systems in Hogan Assessment Suite, certification from Korn Ferry Hay Group in Lominger, Voices, Choices, ViaEdge, and certification from DDI | Development Dimensions International in Targeted Selection.
