Melissa Mcdonald

Melissa McDonald currently serves as the Executive Director at Feeding Kentucky, a position held since October 2023. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Development at Brighter Bites from May 2021 to October 2023 and holding various roles at the Alliance for a Healthier Generation from September 2010 to May 2021, including Associate Director of Development and New Resource Developer. This experience involved resource development through non-traditional funding sources. Melissa also owned My McDonald Meal, a food blog specializing in healthy recipes, from July 2009 to 2012. Earlier roles include Health Promotion Specialist at the University of Kentucky and OHSU, and Health Educator at Buncombe County Health Department. Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Kentucky.
