David Barcus, CFA, FRM has diverse work experience in the finance industry. David is currently serving as the Vice President - Investment Specialist at Fund Evaluation Group, LLC since July 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Denison University as the Managing Director, Investments from March 2021 to June 2022. During their tenure at Denison University, they managed over $1 billion of endowment assets and was responsible for manager selection, investment monitoring, portfolio and risk management, and preparation of portfolio reporting for the Board of Trustees. Before joining Denison University, they held various positions at the company, including Director of Investments and Investment Analyst.
Earlier in their career, Barcus worked at Amundi Alternative Investments, Inc. as the Vice President - Hedge Fund Manager Selection from January 2004 to April 2011. David also gained experience as a Senior Fund Accountant at Crédit Agricole Asset Management Alternative Investments Services, Inc. from January 2000 to January 2004, and as a Fund Accountant at Crédit Agricole Asset Management Alternative Investment Services, Inc. from July 1998 to January 2000.
David Barcus, CFA, FRM attended Miami University from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. David'smajor was Accountancy, and they also completed minors in Economics and Finance. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from the DePaul Driehaus College of Business, from 2000 to 2002.
In terms of additional certifications, David Barcus obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in December 2006. David also completed the GARP FRM Program offered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in January 2013.
