Polly James has a strong background in risk management and claims management. Polly most recently served as the Secretary and Director at the Greater Tampa Bay Chapter of ACP Corporation. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Risk Management at Feld Entertainment. From 2010 to 2020, they held the position of Director of Risk Management at Hilton Worldwide, where they managed various insurance programs and developed crisis management and business continuity programs. Before that, they worked at General Motors in various roles, including Global Program Office Leader for Business Continuity and Crisis Management, Manager of Risk Analysis & Control, and Manager of Corporate Claims Activity. Polly also earned a BA in Computer Science from Otterbein University from 1983 to 1987. Additionally, they pursued German language studies at The University of Bonn from 1984 to 1985. Polly James has obtained certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International, and they are a RIMS Professional Member from RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.). Polly also holds an Associate in Risk Management designation and is a Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter, both obtained from The Institutes.
