Daniel Maher

Technical Artist at Felix & Paul Studios

Daniel Maher has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 1990 as an Architect at Bath Butterworth Architects. From 1993 to 1998, they worked as an Architect at ACA Design Architects. In 1998, they began working as a Senior Environment & Technical Artist at Activision Blizzard, where they designed and employed a building instancing tool for generating detailed 3D cities and helped design and implement art asset browser. In 2014, they became an Artist & Technical Artist at DHX Media, where they scripted texture pipeline tools in Python and worked on a small art team to complete three all new seasons of the classic animated television series 'InspectorGadget'. From 2017 to 2022, they were a Senior Artist & Technical Artist at Red Meat Games, where they worked with a small team, and aggressive schedules, to ship 'BringToLight' and 'Sentience' on PC, Xbox, and Playstation. Daniel helped implement the entire range of art assets, including: environments, props, characters, animations, cutscenes, particle effects, and UI, with attention to performance and memory. Currently, they are a Technical Artist at Felix & Paul Studios.

Daniel Maher obtained a M.Arch & B.Eds from Dalhousie University in the field of Architecture. Daniel also has a Diploma from Vancouver Film School in 3D Animation & Visual Effects.
