Todd Royal

Todd Royal has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities in engineering leadership and management. Todd currently serves as an Engineering Leadership Coach, and previously held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Discord, where they managed multiple teams and contributed to significant revenue growth. Todd also played a crucial role in delivering a promotional partnership resulting in a substantial increase in subscriptions.

Prior to their role at Discord, Todd worked as an Engineering Manager at Intercom, where they managed teams delivering growth experiments and product iterations, resulting in a significant increase in customer ARPA. Todd maintained high employee engagement scores and engineering retention rates by investing in growth and development opportunities. Todd also managed cross-functional projects and coordinated efforts across multiple teams in different locations.

Before joining Intercom, Todd served as the Director of Engineering at Yodle/Web.com, where they managed and grew a team of engineers, managers, analysts, and coaches. Todd Royal received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Point Loma Nazarene University. Todd attended from 2003 to 2007. Later, Todd pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mathematics from UC Irvine, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Todd also obtained an Embedded Systems Engineering Certificate from the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education in March 2011.
