Stephane Weisbecker

Stephane Weisbecker is an experienced plant manager currently working with Femern Link Contractors (FLC) on the construction of a 17 km submerged tunnel between Denmark and Germany since January 2021. With a career spanning from July 1994 to the present at VINCI Construction Grands Projets, Stephane has held multiple roles, including Directeur Materiel and Plant Manager, overseeing various significant projects such as a 5400 m viaduct at sea, 25 km of tunnels utilizing Drill and Blast methods, and a 10 km underground metro line with nine stations. Further experience includes managing demobilization for the A86 tunnel project and leading electromechanical works for major pumping stations. Prior to that, at Dumez GTM, Stephane was involved in constructing a 160 km highway and supporting roles in various infrastructure projects. Education includes an engineering degree from Arts et Métiers - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers obtained from 1991 to 1994.

The Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link will consist of a motorway and rail connection including a 18 km long tunnel that will allow travelling faster and safer between Scandinavia and continental Europe. It will be the world’s longest immersed tunnel and the longest tunnel for both road and rail traffic.
