David Adler

CTO at FemtoMetrix

David Adler has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. David currently serves as the CTO at FemtoMetrix, Inc. Prior to this, they held the position of President at DLA Instruments and provided consulting services in areas such as IP evaluation and patent trials. David also served as the President & CEO at SVXR and was responsible for the company's operations and growth. Before that, they were the President of DLA Instruments Corporation, where they developed new technology for electron-beam imaging and microscopes and provided IP consulting and design services. David has also worked as a Consulting Professor at Stanford University and served as the Chief Technologist at KLA-Tencor. Additionally, they held the role of President at Focused Scientific and worked as a Principal Scientist at KLA Instruments. Earlier in their career, they were a Research Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and conducted x-ray experiments. David also worked as a Post-Doc MTS at Bell Labs, where they constructed a surface x-ray facility for studying various materials and surface physics.

David Adler attended NHHS from 1974 to 1978, during which time they did not obtain a degree or focus on any particular field of study. Following this, they attended Caltech from 1979 to 1983 and received a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Physics, Applied Physics, and Engineering. David then pursued their PhD in Physics at Cornell University from 1983 to 1990. Additionally, Adler returned to Caltech from 1979 to 1983 to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics.
