Pete Griffin grew up outside New York and began playing music at an early age. He is a 20-year veteran teacher, who studied at Chicago’s Northwestern University and, while in Chicago, worked privately with master bassist Steve Rodby. In Los Angeles, he worked at the Musician’s Institute while establishing himself in the LA music scene. He has a wide range of playing styles, whether tackling the most difficult shred guitar riffs of Steve Vai, getting heavy with cartoon metal band Dethklok, or earning a Grammy for Zappa Plays Zappa, Pete is ready to jam.
Beyond the bass, Pete likes comic books, sci-fi movies, and visiting art museums.
