Emmet Tracey

Emmet Tracey has a diverse work experience, starting in 2014 with a role as a Senior Derivatives Associate at State Street. In this role, they gained extensive knowledge of derivatives and Bloomberg terminals, and was responsible for daily pricing and sign-off of OTC valuations.

In 2018, Emmet joined UCD Complex Software Lab as a Software Engineer. Emmet worked on a project in collaboration with Microsoft, Nethope, and the Norwegian Refugee Council, developing a Skype bot to provide information and advice to Syrian refugees on reintegrating into the education system.

Since 2019, Emmet has been working at Fenergo. Emmet started as a Junior Software Engineer in the Commercial, Business, and Retail banking team, where they used C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server, and Oracle to contribute to the development of a modular framework for financial institutions to enhance customer experience. Emmet then transitioned to become a SaaS Engineer, joining a new team focused on building and maintaining a cloud-native solution for Fenergo's application. As a full stack developer, Emmet is involved in all aspects of the application's development, with a primary focus on C#/.

Emmet Tracey's education history includes obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from University College Dublin from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, Emmet earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business & Economics from Trinity College Dublin between 2010 and 2014. Emmet's education journey began at St. Mary's College in Rathmines, Dublin 6, where they completed their Leaving Certificate from 2004 to 2010.
