Soumya Kariyil

Soumya Kariyil has a range of experience in build and release engineering. From 2018 onwards, they worked at Fenergo as a Senior Build Engineer. In this role, they implemented the SonarQube code quality tool and worked on an in-house tool called pre-checkin. They also contributed to creating dynamic environments for CI builds.

Before that, Soumya worked at Fleetmatics as a Build and Release Engineer from 2015 to 2018. Here, they automated component build and deployment using Jenkins, Bamboo, and Octopus Deploy. They also migrated code from TFS to Git.

Prior to Fleetmatics, Soumya worked at Cognizant as an Associate from 2011 to 2015. They were responsible for configuring and troubleshooting SVN and Git administration, as well as installing and migrating tools in Bamboo and SonarQube.

Lastly, Soumya worked at HCL Technologies as a Software Engineer from 2009 to 2011. Their role involved researching and integrating open-source tools like SVN, Jenkins, Maven, Ant, and SonarQube. They also provided documentation and support for the vertical team.

Soumya Kariyil holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Sikkim Manipal University - Distance Education. This degree was obtained between the years 2010 and 2013. Prior to that, Soumya completed a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics from Nehru Arts & Science College, P.O. Padanekat, Kanhangad, Kasaragod. This degree was obtained between the years 2005 and 2008. Additionally, Soumya has obtained a certification in Learning PowerShell 5 from LinkedIn in January 2018.
