Martin Smirl

Martin Smirl has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Control Center Operations Manager at TerraForm Power since September 2017, overseeing wind and solar remote operations. Previously, Martin held several positions at SunEdison from April 2009, culminating in the role of Director of Operations in Global Asset Management, where leadership was provided to a team of 45 across multiple global operations centers. Responsibilities included managing monitoring and control centers in India, Europe, and Boston, as well as developing software and hardware methodologies for solar plant data acquisition. Earlier experience includes a Technical Support role at SMA Solar Technology AG from 2008 to 2010, focusing on grid-tied and off-grid solar systems.
