Vesa Ahonen

Vesa Ahonen is a seasoned information security professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Fennoa since September 2025. Previous roles include Director of Security and Privacy at Polar Electro Oy from June 2021 to September 2025, and Director, CISO & DPO at Inmics Oy between April 2016 and June 2021, with a focus on information security, risk management, and compliance with GDPR. Ahonen has extensive experience in technology management as the Head of ICT (CIO) at Keskisuomalainen Oyj from January 2011 to February 2016, overseeing technology solutions and IT service outsourcing. Furthermore, entrepreneurial experience as an ICT & Security Consultant from 2007 to 2012, and various roles in Metso and Tieto from 1998 to 2011 highlight a robust background in ICT development, security management, and communication technology. Ahonen holds multiple associate's degrees in Information Technology and Business Management from the University of Jyväskylä and a commercial institute, complemented by a high school degree in Mathematics.
