Peter Finstuen has extensive teaching experience, serving as a teacher at Ferndale School District No. 502 since September 2004. Prior to this role, Peter worked as an elementary and middle school teacher in the Los Angeles area from February 1999 to June 2004. Peter holds a Master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University (2019-2020), a TESOL certificate from Western Washington University (2010-2012), and a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Special Education from Pacific Lutheran University (1993-1998).

Ferndale Schools is comprised of one high school, two middle schools and six elementary schools serving approximately 4700 students in grades preschool through twelve. In partnership with parents and our community, the district will educate each student to develop the knowledge, skills and character necessary to lead a self-reliant, socially responsible life.
