Ekaterina Grigoreva has worked in various roles across a range of industries. From 2010 to 2013, they were a Certification and Office Administration Specialist at Certification body "Podolie". From 2013 to 2020, they were a Research Scientist at All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Refining JSC (PJSC Rosneft Oil Company, branch office). During this time, they developed a new ethanol-based biofuel that sparked the interest of several oil and fuel companies and was part of a team that developed unleaded aviation gasoline for small aviation and methanol fuels from Fischer-Tropsch processes (syngas). Ekaterina also wrote technical and financial reports for customers, data collection and analysis, article and grant proposals, and patents. Since 2020, they have been a Postdoctoral Researcher at Technical University of Munich, where they are part of a newly based research group in combustion modeling, chemical kinetic mechanisms, and numerical simulations. Her area of interest is various types of fuels, including alternative ones, sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs), and technologies for their production. In 2022, they will become a Junior Technical Project Manager at FERNRIDE.
Ekaterina Grigoreva obtained a Bachelor's degree in Certification, Standardization and Metrology from Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technologies in 2010. Ekaterina then earned a Master's degree in the same field from the same university in 2012. Finally, they earned their Ph.D. in Chemical Technology of Fuel and High-Energy Substances from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) in 2019.
