Jean-Michael Georg

Chief Engineer & Co-Founder at FERNRIDE

Jean-Michael Georg has worked in various engineering roles since 2010. Jean-Michael began their career as a Lab Assistant at the Institute for General Mechanics at RWTH-Aachen in 2010. In 2012, they moved to MAN Diesel & Turbo, where they completed their Bachelor Thesis on the 'Design of a Load Handling Device for Multi-Shaft-Gearcompressors'. In 2013, they took on a role as a Lab Assistant at the Institute for Machine Elements at RWTH-Aachen, where they conducted Multi-Body-Simulation and FE-Analysis of a Power-Tool. In 2014, they joined AUDI AG, where they worked on a Master Thesis, creating an AUDI S3 Drivetrain and Clutch Simulink Model and applying Control Methods for generating Control-Algorithms to stop the Power-Hop Effect. In 2016, they became a Research Associate at the FTM Institute of Automotive Technology TUM. Most recently, in 2019, they co-founded FERNRIDE, where they currently serve as both Chief Engineer and CTO.

Jean-Michael Georg completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University between 2009 and 2013. Jean-Michael then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Development and Design from the same university between 2013 and 2014.
