Abhishek Saxena

Abhishek Saxena has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades in the technology industry. Abhishek is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at ZoomInfo. Prior to that, they held the same role at Gupshup, a leading global Conversational Engagement company and unicorn. At Gupshup, Abhishek led various platforms and products, including Bot Platform, Commerce, Marketing, Customer Support, and AI/NLP technologies.

Before joining Gupshup, Abhishek worked as the Senior Director of Engineering at InMobi, a global AdTech company and India's first unicorn. During their time at InMobi, they headed Platforms Engineering, focusing on Data Platforms, Enterprise Platforms, and Horizontal Platforms. Abhishek also led the IPO readiness charter for InMobi Marketing Cloud Engineering and was the Head of India Engineering for various platforms.

Abhishek's experience also includes serving as the Director of Engineering at Walmart Labs and as a Senior Engineering Manager at Flipkart, India's largest Ecommerce company. At Flipkart, they managed Trust & Safety Engineering and Data Science, leveraging big data and machine learning technologies to detect fraud and abuse and ensure risk modeling in real-time.

Earlier in their career, Abhishek worked at Turn, a deep tech online advertising platform, where they held roles as Senior Manager of Engineering and Architect. Abhishek managed various engineering groups, including infrastructure development, applied science, and ETL reporting pipelines. Abhishek also worked at Google as a Software Engineer in the AdSense Core Development group, focusing on improving query serving systems and building scalable and reliable architectures.

Prior to their industry roles, Abhishek gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they taught machine organization and programming. Abhishek also worked as a Summer Intern at Teradata, focusing on database system query optimizer development.

Throughout their career, Abhishek has demonstrated leadership skills, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of various technologies and platforms.

Abhishek Saxena obtained their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, from 2001 to 2002. Abhishek also holds a certification in New Manager Boot Camp from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
